Dealing with Unfair Returns and Feedback: Seeking Advice
Summary: gar1544 shared their experience of a buyer dispute where the buyer claimed a sold item was inaccurately described and demanded a refund, leaving negative feedback. gar1544 suspects the buyer might be dishonest and is seeking advice on handling such disputes and protecting oneself as a seller. They are asking for others' strategies and insights into navigating these conflicts effectively.
I recently sold a used item online, engaging in a detailed conversation with the buyer about its condition, including any imperfections and missing parts. However, after receiving the item, the buyer claims it doesn't work, states the description was inaccurate, and demands a refund. They've also left my first negative feedback, but I truly believe they're being dishonest and trying to obtain a partial refund without returning the item, exploiting the new mandatory return policy.
Have you ever faced a similar situation? How did you handle it and what strategies did you use to resolve the conflict while protecting yourself as a seller? Share your experiences and suggestions on how best to navigate this kind of buyer-seller dispute.
Looking forward to your thoughts and insights!
