Dealing with Harassment on Online Platforms
Summary: mexrex initiated a discussion on handling harassment on online platforms like eBay, seeking advice on whether to ignore, report, or seek support. lady_madonna responded by suggesting a detailed method to report harassing messages on eBay, providing step-by-step instructions on using the platform's reporting tools for such incidents.
Have you ever encountered harassment on online platforms such as eBay, and how did you handle it? It's unfortunate when buyers or sellers turn to harassment, and it can be challenging to know the best way to respond. Whether it's deciding between ignoring the messages, reporting them, or seeking help from the platform’s support, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.
I'm interested to hear how others have dealt with similar situations and what strategies or advice you might have for someone facing harassment from a user . What resources did you find helpful, and how has your experience shaped the way you interact on platforms like eBay?

If they are send you messages through Ebay that are harrassing, you can report the messages.
Click the three-dot menu (in the upper right corner of the message).
Select Report message.
Choose the reason for your report (such as threatening language, off-eBay transaction requests, or harassment).
Submit the report.
