How do you get someone to do something about deadbeat buyers?

I would assume the following:
Deadbeat buyers = Buyers who do not pay for Offers or Auctions they won
-For Unpaid items Sellers wait 4 days and on day 5 they Cancel using the reason Buyer hasn't paid. The Buyer gets a strike on their account and if they get 2 in 12 months will have trouble buying on eBay
-Sellers can turn Auto-pay ON for both Offers and Auctions on this page near the bottom: Buyer management | eBay
What Auto-pay does is require a Buyer to provide a payment method BEFORE using the Offer process (to either send or accept offers) or to place a bid on an Auction. For auctions, Buyers can change their payment method within 1 hour after the end of the Auction BUT either way they will be charged for the auction.
-On that same page link you can add Buyers to your blocked list so they won't bug you again in the future.
-You can stop using Best Offer if that is an issue, I have never used it, to me it just drives prices down. For myself, my pricing is based on the amount I will sell for an cover eBay fees and my targeted profit margin.
-I sell a lot Auction style and encourage others to do so too if their items are potentially valuable in their category.

Mentor1 year agoFirst, be sure you are actually doing all you can yourself.
If an actual buyer does not send an actual payment, after four days you can cancel for nonpayment; this will prevent either party from leaving feedback and give the "buyer" a nonpayment strike. Be sure to set your buying requirement to reject bids or purchases from users with two or more strikes in the last year, and consider requiring a payment method in advance for offers and auctions, or else avoid auctions and offers in favor of buy-it-now sales with immediate payment requirements.
Add the buyer to your blocked buyer list, just in case other sellers are not also giving nonpayment strikes.
Then encourage other sellers to do the same.

When other sellers report them, during claims like INAD, INR it usually goes in favor of to the seller.
