damaged item
I ordered something that I received that was broken upon my opening the package. I contacted the seller and have been in the middle of a six month battle over a refund. The seller filed a claim with the USPS and we have gone around and round. I even took the item in the original packaging to the post office per the seller's directions and gave it to them. The seller's claim was denied and he is now filing an appeal. I am stuck with no refund and no broken item. I think the seller is just dragging me on. It's too late to have ebay help me. HELP!

Mentor3 years agoIt doesn't take six months to resolve a return. If you follow eBay's instructions, it takes a few days. Insurance protects the seller, not the buyer. Buyers never have to wait for a seller to settle an insurance claim before getting their money back.
It's too late for this purchase, but if you ever have to return a damaged item in the future, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
There is a link to eBay's Money Back Guarantee on every listing.

·3 years agoSorry, if it's been 6 months, there's nothing Ebay or Pay Pal will do now.
If you paid with a credit card, open a case with them and see if they'll help.
