Damaged Item
I sold an item and the buyer reported it arrived damaged. Buyer does not want to return it but just wanted to have me help pay for a new frame (that was damaged). The buyer proceeded to get the frame replaced and is now requesting I pay for the entirety of the new frame. The price of the new frame is about the same as the entire sale. If I had known the price I would have preferred he just return it to me. I also found frames that were much more affordable. UPS has denied my insurance claim. I do not know how to proceed. Any advice, helpful. Thank you.

Mentor8 months ago@homeagainvintage You are only responsible for refunding for the item price and shipping on the original order.
Insurance is for the SELLER. The buyer is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee. The buyer can only file an official eBay refund request within 30 days of the date of delivery.
If the buyer HAS filed an official return request then you need to accept the return and approve the return label OR refund without a return if that is better for your bottom line.
Be sure to refund no later than 3 days after the date the buyer opens the return request OR eBay can step in and force a refund.
If the buyer has NOT filed a return request then you do nothing.
