Customer support SUCKS
I literally have waited 4 days for someone to ship something and they’ve provided no tracking number whatsoever so I call and make a claim the agent tells me after 24 hours if no shipping has been made you’ll receive a refund then I call 28 hours later and they tell me they have to investigate for 3 days? Like I don’t understand the level of unprofessionalism and then the rude lady hangs up on me so I call again and the third lady is constantly talking over me telling me about policies? Like I just want my refund and then I ask to be transferred to a higher up to file a complain and she asks why? Lol like I don’t have to disclose that to you? And she hangs up the phone

·3 years agoSellers don't have to provide a tracking number or let you know if an item has been shipped.
If you don't receive your item by the estimated delivery date that Ebay gave you, it's pretty easy to get your money back.
A day after the estimated delivery date Ebay gave you, open an Item Not Received case.
Go to your purchase history and click I didn't get it in the menu next to the item.
The seller will have 3 days to provide a tracking number showing it was delivered or refund.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.

OP3 years agoIf it’s not necessary to provide tracking info why is it an option ? The seller also isn’t responding is that a option as well? eBay shouldn’t have people who aren’t going to respond or not send packages in their website plain and simple?

OP3 years agoYou say they don’t have to provide a tracking number? But later on say that after the ticket the seller has 3 days to provide a tracking number? How does that make sense? All in all if a seller isn’t responding obviously? They can see the messages obviously isn’t shipping the package after multiple attempts to receive a message? I have to wait until the DAY it was supposed to be delivered?

You may want to reconsider using eBay in the future if you don’t like the rules … but we are fellow members who can only tell you what they are.
eBay doesn’t sell anything itself … and doesn’t charge a yearly fee …so doesn’t offer 1-2 day deliveries. I’m very sorry you’re displeased … but there’s no rule that states a seller MUST ship within 4 days. Your seller’s handling time should be in the listing.

Mentor3 years agoHi @o0dream80
I'm sorry that you had such a stressful experience dealing with the CS.
Did the listing say the seller shipped within 24 or 48 hours? '4 days' is not necessarily a long period of time buying on eBay ... which may be why you weren't getting the reaction from the CS agents you were expecting. [Every eBay seller sets their own 'handling time' ... and can choose to ship any time between '24 hours' and '30 days'. It's something we buyers need to look for before buying.]
You were given an Estimated Delivery Date at your time of purchase. The day after the EDD passes ... you will be able to file an 'Item Not Received' (INR) dispute for a refund. Before that date ... it is pointless trying to get a refund from CS reps. They are not authorized to give it to you.
BTW, the refund process is all automated. You would start from your Purchase History in My eBay when the time comes ... and file your INR case from there.
In the meantime, I recommend you read eBay's Money Back Guarantee that's at the top of every listing. It describes the procedures/steps we should take when we run into problems. The 'time frames' are especially important. eBay needs to be fair to its sellers ... who are equal members to buyers ... so cannot issue a refund any time a buyer asks. Your package might be on its way (without notification) ... and/or still have sufficient time to arrive on schedule.
