Customer service phone number
Is there an actual phone number to speak to a human at eBay that is not this idiotic moronic completely pathetic attempt to refuse to help the customers by putting in them in an automated Loop that circles back to the same couple of topics again and again and again without ever actually providing phone number?

Mentor7 months ago@thomastt1 There is not a phone number to call eBay. If you tell us what you are contacting eBay about then we can suggest keywords to help you get past the bots to request a call back.
I recommend asking your question here first. We can provide accurate answers and save you time and the frustration of dealing with the bots for most questions. We are experienced buyers and sellers that know eBay policies and procedures.
Or if you prefer>>
Here's how to contact eBay general customer service.

OP7 months agoSo after spending an hour try to guess keywords to get a lot of call I finally got it where he said it would call me it called me immediately hung up then will you call the number back it says it don't work to go through the website that now I can't get back to the point where it let's be request a call. I'm sorry this is pathetic it's an embarrassment and today's world that a customer cannot speak to a live person without reaching out to community websites and forums and arguing with a chat bot to speak to a human being.

Mentor7 months ago@thomastt1. I am sorry that customer service is so hard to reach.
Please let me know what you are trying to contact customer service about. I might be able to help. There are VERY few reasons to contact eBay, most problems can be solved without an agent.
Or your other option is social media.

OP7 months agoA seller provided a fake tracking number. All the computer sees is a tracking number a person a live human being would be able to see right through it with the other evidence that's there if they know to put it together but a computer does not. And let me reiterate I should not have to reach out to the community for help I should not have to jump through 37 to try to get in touch with a live person. It's an embarrassment on the part of eBay and the state of Commerce and America in general the companies will do anything they can not to provide you with assistance

Mentor7 months ago@thomastt1 That sounds VERY frustrating. It sounds like you are a victim of the false tracking scam, which can be difficult to prove to eBay if the tracking number shows delivery to the same zip code.
This is a document that we share for this problem.
1) First, call the postal carrier to see if the tracking number label had your name and address on it.
a) If your name and correct address were on the label, ask the postal carrier to review the GPS on the delivery, retrieve the item from the wrong house, and deliver it to you.
b) If your name and address weren't on that label, ask the postal carrier if they will put this in writing. Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps here:
2) Then, report the seller using this process
https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4022
Important, select "Suspicious seller activity"
then "Other"
Explain that the seller is using fake USPS tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Seller uploaded tracking not associated with my transaction
Tracking details were not accurate
Seller use a false tracking number
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.
3) Finally, contact Customer Service and inform them that the seller uploaded a "false tracking number" on your purchase. Request a refund.
Use the Customer Service that is on social media this way:
Just send a private message to the page. Explain you have a fake or false tracking number situation.
If the above steps do not result in a refund then you will have to pursue a chargeback with your funding source ( bank, credit card, etc) . Once you ask your funding source to step in eBay can no longer assist you.
