Customer Service - Lack of
I am extremely frustrated with Ebays automated system and lack of customer service. I had an issue with an order and going through the automated systems never got a resolution. None of the options were correct for what I needed and I ended up getting hung up on because it was take me in the wrong direction.
Long story short, I was charged for too many labels for 2 different shipments. I typed that into the automated help and was directed to seller help, after that there were no options for what I needed. Eventually I was able to work my way through the menus to speak to someone. They told me my only option was to call Fedex. I called Fedex at the number they gave me, they told me they couldnt help me as I was not a Fedex customer, I was an Ebay customer that used Ebay to buy the label. They told me I needed to call Ebay customer service back. Luckily I had asked the lady I spoke to for a call back number. The number she gave me as 1-866-540-3229. I called that number, they were closed. I got back on to support, went through the menus again to get back on chat with a guy. I told him of my frustration, he had me restate the entire issue again, he said "oh sorry, I can only help buyers. He told me I needed to call Ebay at 1-866-961-9253. I called that number, went through the menus. The person I spoke to told me that they couldnt help me as they were the fraud department.
WHAT IS GOING ON EBAY? You are an absolute mess.

Mentor10 months agoEbay Customer Service does not have a direct phone line because the agents are each working in different locations.
You can use the following link to request a call back from an Ebay customer service rep :
https://www.ebay.com/help/eua?id=5275&mkpid
Available 5:00 am to 9:30 pm Pacific Time.

OP10 months agoThank you, but their customer service representatives that I spoke to told me differently thats why Im so frustrated. Apparently Ebay needs to train their staff much better as they will tell you anything to get you off of the phone rather than actually help.
Those 2 numbers were given to my when I spoke to an Ebay representative the first time I spoke to them after requesting the callback. Lesson learned, from now on I will only do the request a call back option.
