Customer Service frustration
Why is it so difficult to talk to an actual person about an issue?
One of my listing was removed because of a policy violation. The item was said to be counterfeit. I appealed the violation and uploaded the receipts of purchase of the item. That didn't work, the appeal still came back as a violation. What more proof can I give then the actual receipts of purchase, and why can't I talk to an actual person?

Unfortunately, much of the venue is monitored by computer and if for some reason they flag and remove a listing it is best not to try listing it again on eBay, you will have to sell it elsewhere. I have had it happen a few times over the years on items that were not policy violations. I asked about it here and that is the advice I was given and I took it.
It is a challenge trying to get an eBay rep on the phone, here is what we share with members.
We recently learned that many of the links we post to Request a call back are now simply forwarding members to eBay's Customer Service "How can we help you today?" page (link below). On that page members have to complete numerous choices before being given ways to be in direct contact with eBay. Depending on the subject, representative availability and other factors requesting a call back may or may not be possible. Chat or an email may be provided. If you get a Chat box Type “AGENT in the box. You can also contact eBay through Social Media if you have accounts there.
