HELP! I need to reach Ebay via email or live chat & can not find an email address or the ability to speak to a rep on the phone. I tried to make a purchase with a gift card, entered the redemption code, said it couldn't be used to make the purchase, but my gift card balance went from $25 to $0 without it being applied to my purchase.

Mentor2 years agoSee if your gift card balance appears as a line item on your checkout page with a box to check to apply it to a future purchase; that is what happens when there is a remaining balance after a successful transaction and there may be something similar when a gift card cannot be used.

Or you can use the Help & Contact link at the bottom of the page to request a call back from eBay. Use the "Contact us" link and follow the prompts for your issue and you should eventually wind up on a page with a chat option. Choose that, and the last option that appears in the chat window -- use the "See more" option -- should be "Contact an Agent" to request a call-back if you are in North America.

If using the "Contact us" link takes you directly to the chat assistant window, you may have to enter some context dependent cues to get to the call back link.
