customer service
I have been trying to get in touch with customer service for about a week with no luck. I am seriously considering closing my account. I've been on ebay both as a buyer and seller for 26 years and this has always been a problem. I've had better luck dealing with the DMV and the IRS at least with them you can call and get someone on the phone. In fact in all my 65 years of life I have never had as bad an experience dealing with any other customer service. I don't need to read any articles because in 26 years I think I probably have already read them all. I need to speak to a real person that works in customer service. If someone can tell me how to get in touch with ebay customer service i would very much appreciate it.

Mentor5 months agoMost questions/issues can be correctly addressed here by the experienced and knowledgeable Ebay Mentors.
Here's how to contact eBay general customer service.
1. CLICK THIS LINK:
https://www.ebay.com/help/contact?type=ContactUs&topicId=4000
2. Select a category that best matches your problem.
3. Answer the chat bots question by stating what you need help with.
4.Type AGENT ( you may have repeat steps 3 and 4)
5. Request a call back or live chat. (Note that the contact options vary depending on the topic and staffing availability)
Monday to Sunday 5:00 am to 09:30 pm PST
By the way, the Ebay Help pages change frequently, so it is best to read them periodically if you are looking for information about a particular subject.

OP5 months agoi clicked on the link and there are no categories that have anything to do with my problem. the only links are items that I have recently sold and I don't have a problem with any of them.

If you would tell me the topic you are needing help with I can try to provide to some short cut methods past the bots. It's topic related though, that's why I am asking.

OP5 months agoI received and item from someone that was supposed to go to a different seller. at least that's what i think happened. it has an ebay return label which I think may have been charged to my account since it has my address on it. I didn't know what it was so thinking it could be one of my items I opened the package. I would like to let the seller know that it was sent to the wrong seller and maybe help get it to the rightful owner.

Mentor5 months ago@usalvage That could be a bad seller thinking that if the item is returned to a different address that they won't have to refund the buyer, which is not true.
Since you are concerned about this having a possible financial problem on your account this is a link that you can use:
Click this link> https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold?id=4814
Then Type Payout in the chat bot box on the lower right. ( don't say anything else to the bot)
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.

OP5 months agoI finally got an agent on the phone but I'm still not sure how this happened. She looked up the return ID number and the order number and they were both from a return label where I did have a return over a year ago. I thought maybe the buyer accidently reprinted the old label and used it again but she told me that was not possible. She told me that I wasn't charged for the label and said not to worry about. Someone else told me basically the same thing when I first posted asking for help, I guess I should have taken their advice to start with. anyway thanks for the help.
