customer service
first call 1/19/26 4:29 pm central time, talked to ebay 20 minutes, 2nd call 1/23/26 3:43 pm, outside of normal hours, 3rd call 1/26/26 11:33 am. out of normal hours. I think they're full of it. Dodging the issue after telling me to call back on 1/23 if I had not gotten resolution on refund. no response from seller, Secure Purchase or otherwise. all calls started with automated call. don't buy anything from ebay motors, all I tried to do was get info from Secure Purchase (new) charged $25 for it no further assistance or response from ebay.

eBay does not have a public number for general customer service.
You may be better off asking your question here to get suggestions from experienced users.
To contact eBay, use the chat assistant to request a call back by starting on the Help & Contact page and following the links for your issue.
What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.
Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.
If you are unable to get a call back, try contacting eBay via social media direct message:

Mentor8 months agoeBay does have phone lines, obviously. If you call an eBay number you may be connected to someone in some random department, but they may not be able to help you with your specific issue. And if you are not calling the right department, there is a chance your call will be forwarded somewhere else. At that point, you may not be able to retrace your steps to get in touch with the same department again, or you may be forwarded to a line that is not set up for incoming calls at all.
To be sure you are getting in touch with the right department at eBay, you must request a call back through the web site rather than calling a random eBay phone number you found, even if that phone number may have worked at some point in the past.
