Customer returned a completely damaged item
I have sold a brand-new laptop motherboard. Customer has opened a return as a defective item and returned it to me. After visual inspection I have found a big hole in the processor. I have taken pictures before listing it and the processor area was perfectly good. Customer has damaged it during installation. The board had an electrical shock in the CPU are, due to improper installation. I have notified the buyer about the issue and provided pictures before and after. I am not sure how to handle this situation. It is a $300 item.
