Customer requested shipping date closer to 2/17 - my SLA is up today to ship
I have a buyer requesting or informing me that they will not be at the address on the order until February 17th. Is there a way to accommodate this request without getting a late shipping notification on my side? I always ship within two days, but was asked to ship closer to the time they would be at the address in this instance.

Mentor2 years agoIf you wait until after your stated handling time to ship the item then your account will receive a shipping defect. The buyer should have contacted you before bidding or buying to let you know this. Then you could have told them to pay closer to that date as long as you do not have your account set to automatically cancel the sale after four full days.
All you can really do now is to cancel the sale (using the At Buyers Request reason) and then have the buyer purchase the item again closer to that date to accommodate your handling time. You cannot change the handling time once the item sells.

Mentor2 years agoIf the buyer has already paid, and you have a 2 day handling time, then you will receive a defect for late shipping. You can file a Cancellation with the reason Problem with buyer's address. Tell the buyer you will relist the item closer to Feb 17, send him/her the item number, and s/he can then purchase and pay for the item, and you then ship within 2 days.
