Customer read description wrong but still purchased

Question

I had an item posted for buy now $500 or best offer $425 he sent me the offer and I accepted he was charged and I sold the item now he is messaging me to cancel the order due to him reading the description wrong what should I do?

I recommend agreeing to cancel and refunding the buyer. Forcing a sale never works out well for the seller as the buyer can file a not a described return request using the eBay Money Back Guarantee and you will be REQUIRED to issue full refund and pay return shipping.

Refunds, even for order cancellations, come out of your available funds not pending or held. If you do not have available funds then eBay charges your back up payment method for selling costs.

Have you entered your backup payment method for selling costs here: https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list Select Manage under the method you want to use then select Preferred for selling costs. I use a credit card.

Once you issue the refund and the buyers funds are released from being held or finish processing then the buyers payment is released to you.
