Customer has paid and wants another item added...how do I?
Summary: aunt_matildas_attic seeks advice on how to add a second item to a customer's order without charging additional shipping fees. They plan to ship both items together, absorbing the extra shipping cost themselves, and want to invoice the customer only for the price of the second item, $19.99.
My customer has ordered and paid for one item and wants to add a second item to their order to take advantage of shipping discount. I can't figure out the best way to do this. I am willing to add the second item to his order without asking for any shipping fee. I've already printed the label for the item he paid for but haven't shipped yet since today is Sunday.
What I would like to do is ask the customer for $19.99 and cancel the shipping label I already printed, use a new one with corrected weight. Is that possible?

Since today is a postal holiday this reply should still help you.
Here's what I would do>
#1 Cancel the label that you already purchased.
You can void/ cancel the label within 28 days of purchasing it from the actions drop down menu next to the label on this page>
https://www.ebay.com/ship/labels/seller-hub
Then the postal service will refund you in about 3-4 weeks on your all transactions page here>
https://www.ebay.com/mes/transactionlist?sh=true
#2a If the buyer has NOT paid yet for the second item then go to the sold listing on this page https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:ALL_ORDERS
and select Send Invoice from the drop down menu next to the item to adjust the shipping cost as needed. Look up the shipping costs here> https://www.ebay.com/shp/calc/rates
#2b IF the buyer HAS paid then you will issue a partial refund for the shipping overcharge from the drop down menu next to the sold items. I would take a bit off of each.
#3 When you print the NEW shipping label you will need to use bulk label so that the tracking is added to both of the items.
Put a checkmark next to both items>
https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:ALL_ORDERS
Select get shipping label from the shipping drop down at TOP of the list
Next screen say yes to combine
Then adjust the package weight and dimensions as needed.
