Customer claims package was "Not 'Delivered' tracking shows it was. USPS Ground Insurance
Customer claims package was "Not 'Delivered'
USPS Ground Advantage tracking shows it was delivered last Saturday at the mailbox.
Never had this happen before and I printed the eBay label and attach to two sides of the package for extra protection.
What should I do?
Should I call their local post office?
Should I file a claim?
USPS Ground Insurance - Who files a claim and what should I do.

·1 year agoIf the tracking shows delivered, and the customer has opened an Item Not Received claim, just enter the tracking into the claim (or confirm it, it is often now entered for you, although that was not previously the case), and the case should close in your favor.
If you want to do any investigating, then yes, you can call the post office or just file a service request online with the USPS, but you are not obligated to do so (it can be very good customer service and can turn an upset customer into a happy one, though).
USPS insurance will not pay out for a delivered package, so unless it was marked as delivered but actually not, and you can get the USPS to show that in writing, there is no reason to file an insurance claim.

OP1 year agoClient has been notified that I could not reach the post office directly so I went ahead and filed a missing form. Confused about the insurance with eBay USPS Ground covers $100 - Do I need to file the claim or wait to see what eBay wants me to do. Just want to make sure the client gets the best customer service from me. Thank you.
