customer canceled order after I printed shipping label

Question

ebay sent the customer a message it was to late to cancel because the item had been shipped. I have not yet shipped and don't want a return. What is the proper course of action?

I will go through this one step at a time as you listed. I just can’t afford to make any mistakes, I can’t run my towing business because of a major medical emergency. I’m trying to get back on my feet with eBay. I was afraid of having a return and have to pay the return shipping costs. I don’t want to make the wrong decision and cost money I don’t have or have my seller rating dinged. I appreciate the Help. Thank You

Cancel your shipping label, then cancel the order.

1) Here's how to cancel (or void) an unused shipping label you purchased on eBay:

- Go to Manage shipping labels: https://www.ebay.com/ship/labels/my-ebay

- Find the item you'd like to cancel the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select CANCEL.

- Choose your reason for canceling the label.

- Select Cancel shipping label.

You have 28 days to cancel a label. The refund will come about 21 days after you cancel.

If it won't allow you to cancel 'because cancel already exists'

Send a Refund

- Go to your Sold order here: https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold
- Select "Send Refund" from the drop-down list to the right.
- You will be able to select the exact amount of the refund to send.
- Confirm the refund
