custom templates
anyone else having trouble using their custom templates. When I insert them they get inserted into the begining of the description instead of where they belong. eBay won't fix it for me.

Mentor1 year ago@comics-scifi-collectibles thanks! 🙂
I was just testing for @murphman20
Here's what I found - yes, if I type some text and then insert my custom template, it inserts at the beginning.
This is because of underlying html in the description.
Playing around, if I clicked, show HTML code and then entered a <br> after my text, the inserted template would go at the end, where my cursor was
Here's an example with AI description - I entered the final <br> and it worked as desired.

Mentor1 year ago@eastlaneave. Interesting...
I never had an issue before with having text already entered in the description box. I'll have to try your suggestion tomorrow when I'm on my computer.

Mentor1 year ago@murphman20. I have seen a few reports of this technical error, even experienced it myself. No matter where I put my mouse pointer it always puts the template at the top of the description box.
I recommend using the ? Mark on the lower right of most pages to report the problem to eBay.
I am using windows 10 and Chrome. I haven't gotten around to trying a different browser yet.

The custom templates should be inserted where your cursor is when you insert them.
eBay doesn't revise listings, you'll need to revise any listings you want changed.

OP1 year agoExactly but that’s the problem it does not insert where the cursor is it inserts at the beginning of the description which is useless then I have to cut and paste to where the cursor is then delete the messed up location. I started using the templates from last to first which is half assed but I guess is getting the job done. Thnx for the reply

Are you typing something first and then inserting your custom template?
Or are you pasting some text first?
