Receiving small yellow envelopes and I don’t know why. USPS tracking says eBay. Contacted eBay and I’ve decided to close my account because of the service. USPS says throw it away. File a complaint with BBB AND USPSIS. It was recommended to request eBay to remove any feedback left by person envelopes are addressed too. I can’t find the page or help to do it.

Mentor2 years agoOrange Connex is a fulfillment service that ships a lot of different things, including small parts. Sometimes it is used by scammers to generate a tracking number by placing an order for an inexpensive part.
If you have any outstanding orders you are expecting from eBay and you received a package from Orange Connex that you do not recognize, check the tracking number on that package you received and see if it matches any outstanding orders. If so, you need to file an "item not as described" case with eBay and prepare to return the part.
Otherwise, the tracking number may not have been intended for you, but for someone else in your area as part of a false tracking scam, or possibly a brushing scam. The name on the envelope may not have any direct connection to the buyer or the seller, so there is not necessarily any action that eBay can take unless eBay is able to connect that tracking number to a specific eBay transaction (and it may not actually be connected at all).

OP2 years agoThank you for the reply and information about orange connex . Unfortunately I don’t have any open orders from eBay and haven’t ordered anything since December (when all this started). I’ve followed all the recommendations from BBB, USPSIS, and other official resources regarding brushing scams. I'm
strongly considering closing my eBay account, and changing all my other accounts. I just want this to stop. I’ve contacted the number on the envelope and no representative or answer. No e-mail. One item was request the retailer to remove all feedback associated with the targeted name or address. That’s my next step. I don’t want my name or house to be used in lying, scamming or defrauding anyone. Any help regarding eBay to delete any feedback left on sellers that I didn’t actually leave?

Mentor2 years agoA brushing scam has absolutely nothing to do with the recipient, so closing your eBay account will not actually accomplish anything. If the order is related to a fake tracking scam, the target is someone else in your zip code, not you.
No feedback is being left in your name or using your eBay account. The scammer has no access to your eBay account at all. The scammer has just used your shipping address, likely one of many the scammer will use at random. Even if you changed your street address, you could not prevent that.
