Criminal use of eBay to scam buyers
I have had 2 auctions that I won that were by sellers supposedly located in the US but when the sellers contacted me with shipping information and tracking numbers the items were being shipped from overseas. The tracking information looks legit but eventually stops and you never receive the item you bought. The fake tracking info is meant to keep you from filing a claim until after the 30-day refund guarantee period after the expected delivery date has expired. The sellers were using newly created accounts. I suggest not bidding on any auction from newly created accounts and immediately request cancelling any purchase you make if it is supposedly being shipped from overseas when the original listing has a US location.
