counterfeit Violation

Question

I am totally confused - I have been selling sports cards on Ebay for over 15 years - I reciently received a counterfeit violation and removal of a listing - 2021 Score NFL Football trading cards ( the listing had 170 variations ) I contacted Ebay and appealed the removal , waited a few days and called - I was told it takes 72 hours - Now they are saying that I need permission from Score ( there are currently over 350,000 + listings )

On one of my many phone called a rep told me that AI scans and sometimes makes a mistake ????

I have no idea what is going on - Is this only happening to me ? Any advise ?

Sadly, part of what the CS Rep eluded to for AI monitoring is true. With the advent of AI many companies are pushing day to day tasks and functions to their AI systems and yes, those AI systems have to go through a learning curve. You are probably not the only Seller who has fallen prey to this new electronic AI oversight ramp up and I suspect it is NOT limited to categories.

You very well may have to sell that particular card elsewhere. That is the advice most members here will give you to avoid a possible restriction on your account.

Regular CS phone Reps have no control over what AI does or doesn't do nor are the involved in it's programming parameters. While they may submit reports to the eBay IT department they are otherwise powerless in certain situations.
