Counterfeit refund

Question

A counterfeit bullion coin was sold to me. Ebay took the listing down as a counterfeit violation before the coin even arrived. I opened a case before it arrived, and again once it was on the Sigma PMV. Ebay is not honoring the money back guarantee. They are saying the case is closed and cannot be appealed. I've done alot of bullion business on Ebay over the last 20 years.

@zfarm808 While the eBay system does allow a buyer to start a return request case even though they have not received an item it is a very bad idea since they do not have the item yet to mail back. You cannot file a return request until you have actually received the item.

Within 3 days from date of delivery, go to your Purchase History, find the item, and under “More actions” click on “Return item” and select the reason for the return. “Doesn't match description“. Attach a photo.
IF your request is approved, the seller will have 3 business days to either accept the return and provide a prepaid return shipping label OR refund without having you return the item.
If they don't do either, you can go back to your Return Request details 4 business days after you filed the Request and ask Ebay to step in.
