Counterfeit Postage from Seller?
Summary: skylaneav8r discovered that their item's tracking information on the USPS site indicated counterfeit postage usage. They contacted the seller, who apologized and suggested waiting two more days for updates before offering a reshipment or refund. skylaneav8r is considering requesting a refund and seeks advice.
When I tried to check tracking on an item I purchased there is a notice on the USPS site saying “Tracking is unavailable because shipper used counterfeit postage. I have attached a screenshot.
I contacted the seller who replied with the following:
“Dear Friend, I’m sorry to bother you. We’ve received an update from the shipping carrier indicating that your package is still in transit. Would you mind waiting two more days? If there’s still no update after two days, I’ll arrange for a reshipment or process a refund, whichever you prefer. I look forward to your reply. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience.”
Should I just request the refund?
Thanks

Mentor1 month agoI would file a Refund Request due to item not received.
IF/WHEN the latest estimated date of delivery (as shown in your order details) has already passed by at least 1 day, you have up to 30 days past estimated date of delivery to file a Refund Request:
Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history
· Select “More actions” beside your item and then “I didn't receive it.”
· Click the box beside I want a refund.
· Select Send request.
If the seller does not respond to the refund request, after 3 business days you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.
· Find the item in your Purchase History
· Select See request details
· Select “Ask eBay to step in.”
