Counterfeit policy
I am a seller of long standing, with over 250 transactions and all positive feedback. I have also been buying and selling collectibles for 30 years. I had a listing removed by eBay because some eBayer "reported" to them that they thought a signed book I was selling was a fake. There is zero question that the signature is genuine (I got a box of the signed books directly from the publisher), and yet some third party was able to convince eBay that my listing was suspect--**bleep**?!?!?!? And if I want to sell any more of them, I now have to have each signature "authenticated" by one of those companies that specialize in authentication for $50 per signature. So, to sum up, some eBayer with no expertise in signature authentication is able to get my listing removed, whereas I need to pay an expert to counter that report. I smell a rat. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
