Counterfeit items policy
We recently received policy violations on three of our eBay listings for Oral-B replacement brush heads. The items are authentic, and we purchased them through a Walmart liquidation auction.
We are trying to determine what may have caused the violation. The original listings used stock images, so we are concerned that the use of non-original images may have triggered an intellectual property or authenticity concern. We also had the items listed at a very competitive price, so we are unsure whether the listings may have been reported by another seller.
Since receiving the violation, we have removed the stock images and recreated the listings using our own original photos of the actual products, packaging, UPCs, and item condition. However, we are hesitant to relist until we are confident the listings fully comply with eBay’s policies.
Could you please review the situation and advise whether the listings can be safely relisted using our own photos and accurate product information? We want to make sure we are following eBay’s policies and avoid any further account issues.

Mentor4 months agoThe stock photos could be the concern, but more likely is the fact that fake Oral-B brushes abound and ebay is staying on the safe side. Regardless of where you got them do a google search and find out how to spot the fake ones.
If you did not get a VeRO notice, which you could fight, you will have a tough time selling even authentic ones here on ebay now that you have been flagged. So unless you have a lot of them to sell, find another venue to sell them on.
