Counterfeit items – return approved but return shipping not possible
Hello,
I need advice regarding a return case with counterfeit items.
I purchased 5 Samsung 990 PRO 2TB NVMe SSDs. After receiving them, I identified clear signs that the items are not genuine. The seller later acknowledged the issue and treated it as a mistake.
I opened a return under “Item not as describedâ€. The seller approved the return and issued a prepaid return label.
However, I am located outside the US and the order was delivered via an international freight forwarding address. I physically have the items with me, and using the provided return label is not possible.
The seller has already admitted the problem, and this is a counterfeit issue, not a defect or incompatibility.
At the moment, I do not see an option for eBay to step in, since the seller technically accepted the return.
What is the correct way to handle this situation?
Is a return always required in counterfeit cases when shipping back is not possible?
Thank you for any guidance.

OP8 months agoImportant update: the return deadline is approaching very soon. I’m unable to take phone calls, and eBay only offers “Have us call you†with no live chat available. I urgently need eBay support to handle this case in writing before the deadline expires.
