Counterfeit item - return first for refund, or report to eBay first?

Question

I have received several packages of an Item I have ordered from the manufacturer previously and the merch is definitely counterfeit.

The seller has sent me a label to return the items for a full refund - but I want to stop them from selling any more, this could be dangerous. Should I just report the item to eBay and let them take care of it, including my refund?
