Counterfeit Item Received From Seller
I need help and advice please.
I received an AirPods Pro from a seller saying it is a new item. On receipt of the Apple Airpods Pro I found out that it is a Counterfeit with a Serial Number from lost/stolen/failed to return packages. It is with malfunctions, misfits, deficits & defective counterfeit designs and material.
Serial Number printed on the conunterfeit box and on the Airpod Base were verified with Apple. These numbers turned out to be belonging to a product that has been are not returned as required by Apple OR Stolen from Stock OR Lost from Stock.
Counterfeit design is very obvious from fake labels, inferior material, ill fitting ear pieces, wrongly designed ear speakers with missing clips, additional logos on the ear pieces, malfunctioning switches and absent noise cancellation & transparency modes.
On contacting the Seller, he became agitated, insulting and started blaming me.
I have submitted a Report on Item and another Report on Seller in eBay. I live in California. Can anyone guide me about my moral and legal obligations towards State Govt & Apple?. How should I dispose of this Counterfeit item?
