Counterfeit item bought…discovered after 30 days
I purchased two sets of AirPods from a seller last November and just discovered they are fakes. They were advertised as new (and came in plastic-wrapped Apple-like packaging). The microphones didn’t function well, and they appeared as covered under Apple Care. I brought them in to the Apple Store and they showed me 1) both sets had the same serial number and 2) they lacked the watermark that are found on authentic Airpods (they showed me that too). The seller has not responded to my email letting them know this.
I discovered this later than 30 calendar days from delivery date, so no return/refund process -through Ebay’s MBG policy- can be used. Perhaps I should not be surprised counterfeit items are found on Ebay, but there is a counterfeit policy saying items are not to be sold on the site. But one issue is there is no way for me to REPORT the seller. In addition, there is no way for me to revise my review of the seller (which I gave as positive based on the direct contact I had with them).
Has anyone found a way to reconcile this? I am willing to accept I was scammed financially (it was my fault given the deal given), but would like to at least be able to let other buyers know they should avoid this seller. As for purchasing on Ebay, I am reluctant to buy additional products given they have a counterfeit policy they appear to have no intention of enforcing.

OP2 years agoAs of now, they are not. At the same time, there is no moderation of their -nor recourse to- their business practices.

Ebay has a 30 day Money Back Guarantee. You can file a dispute through Paypal or with your funding source, depending on how you paid.
Positive feedback cannot be revised.
If the seller is still selling the fake AirPods, you can use the Report button on their listing page.
