Counterfeit item
Hi - how do you address the issue when you've received a counterfeit item? The seller doesn't accept returns, but I have opened a return with the seller and have included pictures of the counterfeit bracelet which is now turning an odd color (it is supposed to be 925 sterling silver). Help!

Mentor3 years agoNo matter what the seller's return policy is, you're protected if the item is not as described.
If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

OP3 years agoThank you. The item started to turn an odd color after 60’ish days. Does that mean that I’m not eligible for buyer protection?

Mentor3 years agoThrough eBay, that's correct.
If you funded your payment through PayPal, you have 180 days of protection there. If not, you can check with your credit card company.
