Counterfeit item
I purchased an item through eBay that was advertised and guaranteed by the seller as authentic. Before making the purchase, I asked the seller several times to confirm its authenticity, and they repeatedly assured me that it was genuine.
While tracking the shipment, I noticed that the package was being sent from Kazakhstan, even though the seller had told me it was coming from Dubai. When I questioned this, the seller explained that they used that route because it was “cheaper.â€
When the item arrived, it turned out to be counterfeit. I immediately contacted the seller and requested a refund. They agreed to accept the return and provided me with a return address, which I used to send the item back. However, after returning the item, the seller stopped responding.
I then opened a dispute through PayPal. During the review process, the seller provided PayPal with a different return address than the one originally given to me. PayPal later denied my claim, stating that I did not follow their return instructions — even though I had already returned the item to the address the seller initially provided.
As a result, I am now out of pocket $1,200 and do not have either the item or a refund. I have acted in good faith throughout this process, while the seller has been deceptive and uncooperative.
I am requesting that this case be re-examined due to the clear evidence of seller misconduct — including misrepresentation of authenticity, false shipping information, and providing conflicting return addresses. I am seeking a full refund for the amount paid.

Mentor10 months agoEbay cannot help you because you turned to Paypal.
All you needed to do is to have filed a Return Request on Ebay within 30 days in order to have received a refund. The seller would have been obligated to provide the funds for the return shipping costs and if they did not do so you could have asked Ebay to step in to help you get your refund.
