Counterfeit DeWalt tools Buyer BEWARE
I purchased what I thought was a Dewalt Hammer drill from a seller. Dewalt makes dozens of drills & hammer drills and the photos looked like a real Dewalt product. As soon as I picked-up the drill I suspected it was a counterfeit product. I did some searching online about counterfeit DeWalt tools and found several that described what to look for.
I asked for & received a refund from ebay but have received no instructions to return the product. The original vendor listing indicated No Returns, (I guess they don't want their junk back).
Do I just keep this item?
As a Side Note: How can ebay allow counterfeit products to be sold? Now that I have some knowledge as to what to look for, I see dozens of DeWalt tool listing that are counterfeit.

·9 months agoYeah, you can just hang on to it. Counterfeits pop up every day, and it’s impossible to track them all. The other downsize is warranty. Even if you do buy a brand new DeWalt, you may not get a manufactures warranty if the seller is not an authorized dealer so there's that.
And Makita deals with the same problem.
A price that’s way lower than expected is usually the biggest red flag. And anyone can post a picture, then send something else so read a seller's feedback carefully.
