Counter offers
I sent an offer for an item on eBay. The seller came back with a counter offer, I accepted and paid. Day or two later he sent a refund and say that there was an error in his offer. Can this be done?

Mentor3 years agoIt should NOT be done, but it can be done. If the seller used the reason for the cancellation that the item was out of stock or damaged, he received a defect on his selling record. Too many of those, and he won't be selling for long. If he used buyer requested or problem with address, you can report him here:

1. Select The seller has violated one of eBay’s policies and click Continue.
2. On the next page, enter the seller's ID and select Other.
3. In the comment section, write "In order to avoid a defect, seller cancelled order stating that <I requested the cancellation or there was an issue with address> ."
