Counter offer on Fixed Price Item
Hi, I have a fixed price item up for sale with NO "make offer" option. However, I received a message in my ebay messaging asking if I would take X amount of dollars for the item. I clicked the "make offer" option and countered with a different price. So this counter offer is hanging out there for 48 hours, so if they do not respond with that timeframe, what happens if someone purchases the item at full price and the first buyer still has not responded. What is in place to prevent the second person from making the full price purchase. And oh, by the way my shipping policy is 1 day so if the second buyer wishes to purchase and I can't accept the purchase due to waiting on the decision of the first buyer, will ebay affect my seller metrics negatively? Thank you.

Mentor2 years ago@peeperskeepers. No need to worry. The first person to pay gets the item.
Anyone can still buy at full price.

OP2 years agoOh, that's great! Makes sense, first person to pay!
