Cost of selling
I haven’t sold anything for many years but I just recently started a sale.
I added up the cost and it’s going to be over a $1300 to $1400 for my eBay cost.
plus $250 just for listing it!
I needed the money so I listed my item and will end up losing money and any profit I would have made a couple years ago on eBay.
why are you hurting the people that have supported you for over 20 years? Are we that worthless now?
I want to know!

You are not charged a listing fee.
One mistake you made is listing it with the Reserve Price option. That is considered an optional listing upgrade so that incurs unnecessary fees. You should have just started the bidding price at the least amount you would be willing to accept to sell your item and saved the $250.
Your Final Value Fee will be 13.25% based on final selling price + shipping charges + sales tax (if applicable)
Even if your item sells for $5,000 including shipping charges, your total fees would be approximately $900.
You should not be losing money in the sale if you correctly priced your item to cover the selling fees.
