Cost coverage for damaged item sold
I sold an item and item was damaged during shipping. The buyer returned damaged item. Am I covered for price of damaged item through eBay?

Mentor1 year agoYou should NOT have had the damaged item returned to you. Now the carrier will not accept an insurance claim since the item was reshipped. In the future, have the buyer send photos of the damaged item, the outer packaging, the inner packaging, the shipping label. You then fully refund the buyer, and then you go to the carrier's website and look for the link to file an insurance claim, uploading the photos the buyer sent you.
