Is it appropriate for an Ebay seller to charge prices which are unreasonable. Using misleading ads and then charging double for an item which can be found elsewhere for half the price.

Except for certain items needed during a national or global emergency … sellers are free to charge whatever they want for an item they own.
Buyers are free to purchase only from sellers who charge what they consider reasonable.
We all are free to have our own opinion on what is appropriate.
That said, ‘misleading ads’ usually are covered by eBay’s Money Back Guarantee. Buyers aren’t forced to keep anything they feel they were tricked into buying.
What did you purchase that you feel was misrepresented? What’s the Item Number?

Charging double for an item that can be found for half price elsewhere may not get them many sales.
It is up to the buyer to determine the best items to buy and which buyers to purchase from
If you don't like the price or the description, you are free to find another seller and I would recommend that
