Correcting an Order?
A couple days after purchasing an item, the Seller messaged that an incorrect book had been shipped. They asked that I ship it back to them when it is received. And, that they will be shipping the correct book out today, my expense of shipping the incorrect book back to them will refunded from the cost from my order.
The incorrect book was delivered today, and not opening the package. Told the buyer the incorrect book will be shipped when tracking number for the correct item has been transmitted to me, and the package with that tracking shows in possession of USPS on Informed Delivery website.
Please reply with either confirmation that process described above is within eBay guidelines, or there if is a more desirable method to correctly fulfill this order?
Thank you

Mentor2 years agoDo not use your own funds for the return. Instead open a Return Request for an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED, wrong item. Seller will pay for the return label, if he wants it back, and/or refund. If no response by the fourth day, go back and ask ebay to step in. Do not close or let the case expire without doing this, if not resolved.
