Corningware Blue Cornflower Pricing
I see the same pieces of vintage Blue Cornflower priced from $8 to $8000. What determines their value?

Mentor2 years agoIf you examine the outlier prices of items listed as "sold", most likely the seller has zero feedback or no feedback was exchanged for the purchase. Often the high-priced sold listing is immediately relisted. Those are good indications that no money actually changed hands and there was no actual sale at that price.
There are users that try to make it appear that ordinary items sell for a very high price so that they can try to sell the same item at a high price to an unsuspecting buyer.
Other common items with a wide range of "sold" prices like this: Disney Black Diamond VHS tapes and Beanie Babies.
If you use Seller Hub, try Terapeak to research actual sold prices where money has changed hands.

OP2 years agoThanks. I knew no one was going to pay $8000 for a baking dish, but couldn’t understand why anyone would list at that ridiculous price with others selling for $10. I thought maybe there were some pieces with special marks or dates that made them worth more. Thank you for your response.

No doubt there are some very rare Corningware pieces that can actually fetch a hefty sum from knowledgeable collectors, much in the way that some rare baseball cards worth thousands of dollars.
But the most common baseball cards and cookware pieces are not rare at all, and consequently are not worth much at all to collectors.
