Converting from Buy It Now to Auction
Just lost a significant amount by converting my item from Buy It Now to Auction last week and not realizing I was never asked/prompted for a base price where the item would not be sold unless it had reached that amount. I did this from my selling summary of all active items, under Edit/Revise - Change to Auction.
Why is there no asking of what the base price will be?

You were prompted to enter a minimum/starting bid price which is supposed to be the least amount of money you would accept to sell your item.

OP2 years agoYes, but when you list an item for auction to start with you set a beginning price and a ceiling, or I forget what its called, the price that you will not accept less than. Going from Buy it Now to Auction using Edit/Revise, does not give that option and I didn't notice at the time I changed the listing. Lesson learned!
