Contacting someone directly at ebay
How do you email anyone at ebay? I have had 10 auctions where I am listed as the high bidder when the auction ends yet have been outbid anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 minutes before the auction ends and eBay never says anything to me.
That is fraud and theft on ebay's part. Their automated chat bot is useless and I want to provide them documentation of what is going on.

Mentor2 years agoIf you use the eBay app and have it set to notify you if you are outbid, use the notification diagnostics in the eBay app Settings under Notifications to make sure that one of your device settings is not interfering with notification delivery.
This is probably not what you want to hear, but you should hear it anyway:
Do not rely on notifications to tell you to bid higher; if a bid comes close to the end of an auction, there may not be enough time to receive a notice and place another bid even if notifications are working perfectly.
Instead, decide how much you are willing to bid, and then bid your maximum amount once as late in the auction as you are comfortable with. If you are the highest bidder at that point and there is no reserve, the only way you can lose is if someone is willing to bid more than your maximum and they actually do so before the auction ends.
If you are already bidding your maximum, notifications will not matter. If you are not bidding your maximum, you risk losing the auction to a bid amount you were willing to match or beat -- for no good reason -- whether you actually receive notifications or not.
