Why can't I contact the seller of an item I just recently purchased and am waiting for?

OP1 year agoThank you eburtonlab. Your explanation helped me to figure out what I was doing wrong. First of all, let me say that I've sent hundreds of messages on Ebay in the past. They must have changed something lately in their sending a message format. When I see a box that says "send message", I don't click on it because I did not compose my message yet. On that send a message page there should be a box to click on that says, "compose your message".
Does that make sense? Thanks again eburtonlab, I guess you truly are a visionary!

Lots of folks have had problems with the new message format, particularly when sending messages. eBay has taken what was a relatively simple task and made it much harder to figure out and use.

You can use the "Updated messaging feedback" link on the new message inbox page to provide some feedback to eBay page developers.

What happens when you try to contact the seller?

You should be able to use the "contact" link in a seller's listing or in your Purchase History to send a message to the seller.

If you are having problems, try clicking on the "Send message" text to start typing your message.
