Contacting eBay Directly?
Before listing a piece of jewelry, I had a local, reputable jeweler give me an appraisal and write up the specs of the piece, following the same format as similar items listed. Upon sale of this item, I shipped it to the eBay authenticator who claims my piece doesn't match the specs in my listing. They've sent back the piece but there is not report from that authenticator so I can't match it against my original appraisal and I cannot for the life of me get in contact with eBay to get that report. Anyone on here ever able to contact a human being on eBay??? Please help if you have! I'm beyond frustrated.

Mentor2 years agoUnfortunately you do not get any report from the authenticator if they reject an item. Also, eBay relies on the authenticator and cannot change their decision. From what you said something in the listing specifics does not match the actual item that the authenticator is seeing so that is why it was rejected. Go over your item specifics and the title you gave to see if something is not correct since this is part of what the authenticator looks at.

Unfortunately there's no way to get the report, I've asked eBay community staff about this in the past.
Once an item is rejected I recommend selling it elsewhere.
