"Contact Seller" message box is defective
I was trying to send a message to a seller on a lost shipment, and every few words the message box kept dropping me from the TOP of the message box all the way to the BOTTOM of it, completely messing up what I was typing.
The ONLY way to get it to work correctly was to type my message in a local text editor and then just paste the entire text at once into your text box. I tried even closing the window and restarting, and it was still doing the same thing.
(and you REALLY need to have a way to contact the support staff directly to report problems. I fully expect that eBay never reads their forums, and this will get ignored or forgotten).

Mentor3 years agoIn the past similar issues have been linked to certain browser add-ons such as grammar checkers like Grammarly.
Try disabling add-ons to see if that allows you to enter messages; or else try another browser as a test.
Many eBay pages have a "Tell us what you think" or "Provide feedback for this page" link in the upper right to allow you to report issues with specific page features. Those messages should be sent directly to the relevant page developers without having to go through customer service.
