Constant Buyers Not Paying
Hello. I have recently been having many buyers bid, win the auction, and never pay and completely ghost any messages I send. It doesn’t seem to me that there is a way to punish people for doing this.
when this happens to you, what do you do, especially when it many auctions of mine.
thank you.

You mentioned "many" Buyers not paying after winning an auction ... you have only sold 5 items in the last 90 days. Of those 5 items HOW MANY wound up being Unpaid after 4 days???
When you cancel after 4 days Buyers will get one Unpaid item strike on their account. If they get 2 in 12 months they will have trouble buying on eBay until their strikes roll off in 12 months back to 1 or less.
You can consider turning Auto-pay ON for both Auction and Offers on this page near the bottom. There are two settings: Buyer management | eBay
With Auto-pay turned on Buyers have to provide a payment method PRIOR to bidding or participating in the Offer profess. That payment method can be changed within 1 hour of the end of an auction or accepted offer by either party but either way they are charged.
The exception to that is if you have Auto-pay turned ON and offer Combined shipping. eBay will give an auction winner 7 days to continue to shop your items to pay. eBay thinking is they may want to take advantage of Combined shipping ... however, reality is that Sellers want to get paid ASAP, period.

OP4 months agoThis has been going on for me in the past year or so. Probably 5 or 6 times. I don't keep track. But if you sell 20 items and 5 or 6 of them don't get paid, that's 25%. So with that, it's "many".

You have multiple listings for items Ex: Funko Pop, T-Shirts, that end on different days.
Some buyers are eligible for Pay in 7 which allows them to participate in auctions ending on different days up to 7 days from the first win.
"Buyers under Auto-Pay are offered a choice, to have eBay do the auto-pay in an hour or hold off for up to 7 days so they can buy more stuff from you and combine."
You might want to consider ending auctions for similar items on the same day at least 3 minutes apart, by scheduling them to start, rather than starting when completed.
Open the link below to learn how to schedule listing start times.

If bidders do not pay or bid on other items within 7 days. File an Unpaid item dispute.
