consequences for sellers who cancel sales with lies.
Lately, sellers have been repeatedly canceling auction sales by dishonestly citing lies, and I think it's because they face no consequences. I find this unfair because it disrespects the buyers who honestly bid and win the sale. It takes time and money for us to participate in the auctions of the greater eBay community, only for these unprofessional and dishonest sellers to cancel the sale with false arguments and lies, and there are no consequences. I think it's time for eBay to put a stop to these bad practices within its eBay policy. Thank you.

There are policies in place, but eBay relies on you to report the seller activity, since they have no way of knowing when they have lied. eBay takes order cancellations very seriously, it carries the highest penalty for the seller - that is why sellers try to use the wrong reason.
On this page select violated policy - https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4022 then select doesn't want to complete transaction. In the box write 'seller lied and said buyer requested cancellation to avoid a defect for a seller cancelled transaction'. Or substitute seller claimed problem with buyer’s address, if that is the reason they used.
