confused about international selling...
Hi,
I hope to clear up some confusing things about international sales. I'm afraid I might have to withdraw from the international shipping program if what I'm understanding is correct. There has to be a better way.
So I'm considering an offer from a international buyer. But I don't know what the fees will be later on so I'm afraid I will actually lose money.
My understanding of domestic situations is when I sell to someone in the USA, I pay a final value fee, and a transaction fee. These fees are based on the total cost, plus sales tax.
But how does it work with international sales? What if I sell a small, low priced item to someone in England, but they pay so much in taxes, shipping, fees etc that suddenly the fees ebay charges me surpass any payment I received?
