Confused about accepting an offer
Summary: niaqui_81 is new to selling on eBay and is confused about accepting an offer from a buyer who wants to pay $260 for an item listed with a "Best Offer" of $200. krazzykats advises to only accept offers through the eBay site, not via email, and explains how to accept offers on the platform. eburtonlab notes that the item currently has six bids and a "Buy It Now" price but no "Best Offer" option, suggesting that it may have disappeared after the first bid. They propose adjusting the "Buy It Now" price if niaqui_81 wants to accept the $260 offer.
I am new to selling on ebay. I have purchased items before but never sold any. This week I set an item for sale, and was hit with several confusing offers. I am attempting to accept one right now, but the site is so baffling that I am unable to accept it. Can anyone please make some sense of this? I have a buyer who offered to pay $260 for an item that has a "Best Offer" of $200. I wish I could give it to him for $260 but the site only lists the people who bid on it, and his offer was done in an email. I may be very naive, but I think there must be a way I can accept his offer. Can someone please explain it to me as if I an an elementary school child, since all the AI does is confuse the hell out of it. Thanks in advance.

Mentor2 days agoYou have an auction listing with six bids and a $279 buy-it-now price, but no "best offer" option.
If there was a "best offer" option initially, it may have gone away after the first bid.
If you still want to accept a $260 offer, you might be able to lower the buy it now price to that amount.

Only accept offers on eBay, never from an email.
