confirming item location
How can I be certain an item I am buying or bidding on is truly located where the seller's address is listed. I have won bids only to find the merch is in China and the US address is only a front. I wouldn't have purchased the merch if I knew it would take a month to arrive.

OP8 months agoThanks for the reply. I've tried these things. I wish ebay would police sellers so that they cannot lie about the actual location of the merch. Sometimes things never arrive at all and then you have the hassle of dealing with PayPal's AI customer service to try to get a refund.

Before going through PayPal, make use of the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

Mentor8 months agoClick on the seller's feedback number (in parenthesis) and see where the seller is registered. Red flag if you see an international location, although some international sellers do use warehouses located in the USA. You can also look at the estimated delivery date. If more than about a week, I would be suspicious. Also look at the feedback received as a seller and see if there are comments about long transit times.
